Lottie Sebes' work spans the fields of installation, performance and sculpture, investigating the interrelation of the history of technology and socio-cultural norms. Her works combine the new and the obsolete to question the idea of technological ‘progress’ and uncover the perpetual recycling and transformation of ideas over time. Her installations have been exhibited at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (AU), Elsewhere Museum (USA), and the CHB Berlin (DE), and she has performed at Festivals including Experimance (DE) and Monde-s Multiple-s (FR). After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with the University of New South Wales as well as Honours in Visual Arts at the University of Sydney, she was awarded of the Eleanor Sophia Wood Postgraduate Research Scholarship and completed Master of Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at the Universität der Künste Berlin. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
