Jesse is Assistant Professor for "Design Aesthetics of Intelligent Adaptive Systems" at Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. His research concerns the aesthetic tensions between high dimensional operations of emerging technologies and the lower dimensional symbolic access available to human beings. After vocational training in graphic design and a BA in interaction design at the Berliner Technische Kunstschule, Jesse developed a research-through-design approach in his MRes in Arts and Cultural Research at the University of Brighton that also scaffolded his PhD research in Philosophy of Technology. He publishes at leading human-computer interaction conferences such as ACM CHI and DIS; while his work has been shown at the Dutch Design Week, London Design Festival and MozFest House.
