Mattias Petersson (1972) is a composer and performer of live electronics. He works with electronic music, chamber ensembles as well as opera. His music has been performed worldwide and have record releases on various labels like Hallow Ground (upcoming), Moving Furniture Records, IDEAL Recordings and Fylkingen Records. One of his most prominent project is the duo There are no more four seasons. In this project he collaborates with violinist George Kentros, taking older pieces of music and recompose them to make the once again relevant to our times.

He studied composition with Bill Brunson, Pär Lindgren and Sven-David Sandström. Since 2006 he works at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm as a senior lecturer in electroacustic composition. As a PhD candidate in composition at the Luleå University of Technology, he is part of the GEMM))) research cluster led by prof. Stefan Östersjö, focusing on Gesture, Embodiment and Machines in Music.
