Ricardo Thomasi is a Brazilian sound artist working with contemporary music, electroacoustic music, sound art and music education. His artistic work involves electroacoustic and audiovisual improvisation, collaborative multimedia performances, video art and interactive art installations, among others related to commercial electronic music, pop and Brazilian music. He teaches courses and workshops related to music, technology and creativity for technical, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in music. He is a doctoral student in musical arts from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and a master in music composition from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil). He is a researcher in the group Núcleo Música Nova (EMBAP/UNESPAR) and in the Laboratory of Acoustics and Music Technology (LATM/EACH/USP). He is the executive manager of the label Arte Estranha of experimental music, and musical producer of Estúdio Sala1.
